The farm’s historic architecture, paired with carefully curated boujie updates, offers a stunning backdrop that’s effortlessly photogenic. The barns, gardens, and rolling fields are timeless and each space has been lovingly restored to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Roaring fires lit through the autumnal and cooler months, and immaculate landscaped gardens to wonder through in the sunshine - we can host up to 140 people in and outside - no season is out of the question. There is one thing you cannot book and pay for - and that is the weather - but you wont be disappointed at the farm as every backdrop is spectacular.

Our 400 year old Hampshire Threshing Barn, with its high ceiling and exposed beams creating a rustic, romantic ambiance. Or embrace the peaceful tranquil setting down by the lake and host your ceremony by the water, with the ducks ready and waiting to glide by and pop up in your photos. Guests can enjoy cocktails in the courtyard, or pop their feet up in the Hen House, whilst served canapes and cocktails before we call for dinner and lead them to the Cowshed for the rest of the day. 

The Cowshed, designed solely for for dining and dancing, can be tailored to match your theme, whether that’s vintage, boho-chic, classic elegance or rock and roll. The venue’s versatility allows you to style each space to reflect your personality, creating a wedding that feels entirely your own.

Exclusively Yours

One of the key benefits of booking Silchester Farm is that it offers exclusive use for your wedding day. With our Woodshed dedicated to wedding preparations, to the evening’s last dance, every part of the venue is yours to use as you please. This exclusivity allows for a personal celebration with just your nearest and dearest, No interruptions or outside distractions. We are not far from anything we need, and local transport options are plentiful, but we are far enough away that you can and will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, your very own hidden treasure and the whole farm is yours to share with your guests throughout. 

On-Site Accommodation

Silchester Farm provides on-site luxury accommodation for your lucky guests. With enough beds for 47 heads, theres plenty of room for friends and family, creating a stress-free experience from start to finish. The elegant, cozy spaces are designed for relaxation, with thoughtful touches that ensure everyone has everything they need. We have 2 beautiful houses - the Barn House and Farmhouse, perfect for your sociable guests who like to get away and spend as much time as possible with each other, making the most of time away to relax. In addition we have 10 luxury suites, including our original Granary and 9 new Pyggies. Every suite offering not only the most comfortable of beds and pillows you wont believe exist - all are en suite, with a fire place and kitchenette. You quite simply will not want to leave when we show you our luxury Pyggies with bath tubs and views of the gardens.

Our events team brings expertise, passion, and a commitment to detail, offering support at every stage of the planning process. They’ll work with you to plan a bespoke celebration, helping to manage timelines, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure your day perfectly captures all of your ideas and brings them to life. We dont do it every day because we have to, we do it every day because no two days are the same and we love to share your once in a lifetime moments with you. We have made many close friends with our couples and love to see them when they come back to visit the farm, with friends and family on occasions before and after their weddings too.

Farm-to-Table Dining for a Memorable Wedding Breakfast

Our kitchen has fast become known for its exquisite dining experience, offering farm-to-table catering that’s both fresh and flavourful. Working with our events team, you can create a menu that showcases the best of fresh seasonal ingredients, both grown on the farm and sourced local suppliers.

The flames will be lit later in the evening, where the chefs escape the kitchen and embark on prep and cooking under our Dutch Barn, showcasing (and showing off!) their cooking under the stars, impressing guests with their theatrical and creative ‘late night’ food menu. Vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-sensitive options are also available, ensuring every guest enjoys an unforgettable meal with you.

As we step into 2025, Silchester Farm is poised to embrace and enhance the latest wedding trends. We strive to adapt, and have already seen many of next years big themes creeping into styling over the last few months. Some of our favourites include the fashionable buttercream heart shaped cakes, decked with cherrys and simple scroll iced writing. Both classy AND delicious. 

Mini dresses have made an appearance - with brides opting for more than one dress, or a skirt swap into the evening - meaning they can dance till they drop and have no need to hustle the bustle.

Live Painting has become popular - and with the opportunity to see a picture created, before your very eyes, capturing that moment on that day- you can certainly see why. 

Social media now part of every wedding, with couples hashtags, witty wordings and viral reels now very much the norm, a content creator might have seemed excessive years ago - but we frequently now see them working side by side with  your photographer and videographer.
