Enjoy a laid back, luxurious celebration of British countryside dining at Silchester Farm

Local harvest

We harvest what we can from our Kitchen Garden and surrounding fields, along with sourcing fresh produce as locally as possible, from like-minded people. We focus on keeping food miles to a minimum and work with a Head Chef who has a genuine passion for each ingredient used.

Silchester Farm Premium Spirits

Working with friends of the farm - Hawkridge Distillery, we are pleased to release our new in house premium Wingless Eagle spirit collection.

The Wingless Eagle is one of the most famous objects found in the excavations of the Roman town of Calleva Atrebatum of Silchester. The eagle is a symbol of imperial power and therefore represents courage, strength and immortality - qualities that run through our veins here at Silchester Farm.

Growing our own botanicals on site, ensures we are infusing our spirits authentically with the freshest farm ingredients.

Wander through the Kitchen Garden to Trough Farm Shop and explore our handcrafted Wingless Eagle spirits.

Choose from our smooth double-distilled vodka, rich spiced or white rum, or one of our three beautifully balanced gins - Classic, Blackberry & Elderflower, or Wild Strawberry.

The collection is also available behind the bar, offering a delicious tipple to be enjoyed at an event at the farm, also available to purchase by the bottle.

In addition to our large bottles to enjoy at home, we are pleased to introduce our Gin miniature favour sized bottles - the perfect wedding gift to guests or for your celebration at Silchester Farm.

At only £6.50 per bottle (double shot) orders can be placed through our events team

Silchester Farm Bar

Our Bars

“Friends & family serving friends & family”

We have two fully licensed, beautiful rustic bars here at the farm – one in the Hen House and one in the Cow Shed. Both are stocked with our very own Wingless Eagle collection of spirits, local ales, and wines sourced from the UK and beyond, as well as a selection of soft drinks and sustainably sourced water.

We are big on recycling – so our bars are plastic free and we champion cans over glass as they have a lower carbon footprint. We use wheat stalk straws which are fully compostable (after you’ve finished with them – unlike the paper versions!). And if you’re into vodka, we have a great relationship with Sapling Vodka so that every bottle we buy – they plant a tree here on the farm.

The experience, the feeling

We know that some of life's best memories are created over a table. We’ve always loved great food and know that the real enjoyment of dining comes from all the senses.

We want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and without inhibition to enjoy the whole food experience here at Silchester Farm. It’s important to us that you feel good about every bite and each sip - that’s why we’re always striving to keep waste to a minimum, use the best and most fresh local ingredients (even if they are a little wonky!), support local growers and producers, and put back into the community and earth as much as we can.

“We just loved the bar in The Cowshed - truly a thing of beauty that fits in so well with the decor to make a really stunning space. Really well stocked too!”
