Your Wedding Day Stay
Your stay at Silchester Farm & everything you need to know about your visit.
Check in is from 2pm - Both the Farmhouse and Barnhouse will be opened for you to make yourselves at home from 2- so you can pop in whenever is most convenient. You may want to enjoy some canapes and cocktails first, or make yourself at home after dinner. The choice is yours, please do ask a member of our team if you need some guidance or help with your bags, we are happy to help.
Barn House stays: every bedroom has its own key, and on each keyring will also be a back door key which is most often used as the main entrance. The front door key is kept on a hook next to the door should you require access to the front and main road.
Farmhouse stays: your front door key is kept on the rack next to the front door. The door is on the latch, if you would prefer not to allocate the key to one guest. The back door key will be in the door for you, and if you need to open the front door to the main gates - the main key opens both.
BREAKFAST
Our kitchen will deliver a fresh breakfast to the Farmhouse kitchen at 8am. Unless the wedding couple have specified otherwise, we would expect that the majority of wedding guests on site will join you for a breakfast together ahead of saying goodbye. If you have any dietary requirements please do ensure your wedding couple have been made aware and do not hesitate to let a member of our team know too so we can ensure you are catered for.
Taxi companies: we are a little off the beaten track, but book in advance and know our friendly local taxi drivers will get you from A to B…

PLEASE NOTE - due to our licensing we do not permit alchohol to be bought into any of our onsite accomodation. If you are looking for some celebratory refreshments we can organise some drinks for your fridge. Any bottles or beverages that have not been purchased through our in house bar, will be removed and reallocated to you upon check out.
Our housekeepers will ensure your room is ready for your stay, and the team will pop into our suites throughout the afternoon to top up your milk, water and amenities. If you need anything do let us know as we are always happy to accomodate your requests whenever we can!
To ensure we are considerate of our neighbours and friendly farm animals, we ask that once the wedding reception is over you remain inside the buildings so that we can manage noise levels in the area. Your are not permitting to walk around the grounds after midnight and hope that you consider other residents on site when returning to the accomodation late at night.
